Toyota To Recall Over 2000 Unit Of Innova Crysta And Fortuner

Toyota-Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced a voluntary recall of 2,628 units of its MPV Innova Crysta and SUV Fortuner.

The recall has been issued only for the petrol-powered models that were manufactured between July 18, 2016, to March 22, 2018. As per Toyota officials, the company has announced the recall in order to inspect the fuel hose routing and repair required on some vehicles.


The Japanese carmaker in a statement said, “Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced a voluntary recall or a special service campaign in India as a measure of abundant precaution."

The Toyota dealers across the country will contact the customers for the recall exercise. The repair, if required, will be free for the customers.

However, this is not the first recall from Toyota. The automakers had also called for the same in May to inspect and repair the wire harness fault for Innova Crysta, manufactured between April 2016 and January 2018.

Being the segment leaders for Toyota the price tag for the Innova Crysta start at Rs.13.52 lakh, going up to Rs. 22.15 lakh for the range-topping diesel automatic model. On the other hand, the Toyota Fortuner is priced between Rs.26.69 lakh and Rs.32.48 lakh.
