Bajaj Auto launched the all-new avatar of the Pulsar 150 with twin disc brakes on Wednesday. The new variant of Pulsar 150 will provide sharper and sportier styling and will be available in three dual tone colours Black Blue, Black Red and Black Chrome.

The 2018 Bajaj Pulsar 150 twin disc variant has been priced at Rs 78,016 (ex-showroom Delhi) and will be available in addition to the existing single disc variant of the Pulsar 150, which costs Rs 73,626 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The new 2018 Bajaj Pulsar 150 is Rs 4,390 costlier than the standard bike, although it does benefit from a slew of technological upgrades. The 2018 Bajaj Pulsar 150 twin disc version comes with a wider tyre in the back and bigger front disc. The front forks have been updated as well along with some other changes.

Along with the 230mm rear disc brake, the 2018 Bajaj Pulsar has split seats and rear grab rails. The bike has been equipped with 37mm front telescopic forks and wider 120 section rear tyre. These new features will provide the bike with a more premium feel and a longer wheelbase further enhances the stability of the motorcycle.

At the heart of the Pulsar 150 is a 149cc single-cylinder engine. It delivers 13.8bhp and 13.4Nm of torque through a five-speed transmission. While there's no design update on the new model, it receives a sportier graphics job for a fresh look.

According to Bajaj Auto, the new Pulsar 150 twin disc variant has also undergone significant improvements in noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) due to optimisation of engine and chassis touchpoints. Bajaj says the NVH improvements on existing and new models are an ongoing process and these have been passed on to consumers in the new twin disc variant of the Pulsar 150.

The Pulsar 150 twin-disc competes with TVS Apache RTR 160, Honda CB Unicorn 160 and the Hero Extreme Sports.
