Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan Revealed

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its A-Class sedan on Tuesday after showcasing the China-only A-Class long wheelbase in April. The A-Class sedan resembles Mercedes hatchback launched this year in February.

Mercedes A-class sedan is likely to be launched in India by 2019 and will be priced between Rs 31.71 lakh to Rs 35.02 lakh.

The A-class sedan will go on sale in International markets at the end of 2018 with  A-class nameplate. It is for the first time that a sedan will bear A-class nameplate.

In India, the A-class sedan will be a more modern machine that will be sold through the CBU (completely built unit) route.

The A-class sedan is a bit similar to hatchback when seen from the front But it totally looks different from the side. The hatchback was unveiled in February this year.

The sedan comes with a long roofline, stretched rear doors and a stubby boot and has a small rear windshield and an integrated boot spoiler. It has a rear section that resembles the current-gen CLA.

The sedan comes with tail lamps and dual-tone bumper with two exhaust tips and 130mm longer than the hatchback.

It offers the same engine as the company had offered in its fourth-gen A-Class hatchback which is also set to come to India next year.

The machine powered by a 1330cc turbocharged petrol engine makes 163PS of power and 250Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

With the hand biting interior A-Class sedan has two 7-inch screens for both the instrument cluster and infotainment system, a 7-inch screen for the instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch screen for infotainment and a lot more to offer to customers.
