The Hero MotoCorp re-launched its Karizma ZMR Bike series with 2018 Hero Karizma ZMR on Saturday, the official website revealed.

As per the website, the all-new 2018 Hero Karizma ZMR is available in two variants which are standard and dual tone priced at Rs 1.08 lakh and Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The dealers are also accepting bookings for Karizma ZMR 2018 but it is still yet to be available at the brand outlets.

The Karizma ZMR was pulled off last year after failing to receive the BS-IV update, following sales decline.

Though it was re-launched with upgraded features in 2014 in collaboration with Hero's technical partner Erik Buell Racing (EBR) but was not able to generate more sales for the brand.

The Hero Karizma ZMR was first launched in 2003 and has been a close rival to the Bajaj Pulsar 220F in both performance and sales. But the rising competition and the lack of updates in the Karizma ZMR made it weak in terms of sales performance.

The re-launch of the Karizma ZMR is a surprise move by the manufacturer at the time of rising competition in the market.

The 2018 Karizma ZMR is powered by the same 223 cc single-cylinder with a maximum power of 14.9 kW (20 BHP) at 8000 rpm and maximum speed 129 kmph. The bike comes with sporty LED tail light and winkers, 20 BHP of raw power, dual dynamic headlights and LED position lamps, Multi-Functional Digit console and wider rear tubeless tyres.
