The newest royal couple, Britain's Prince Harry and American actor Meghan Markle are all set to officiate their relationship on May 19, 2018. In an official statement issued by the Kensington Palace on Friday, the wedding date was confirmed.

The loved-up couple which announced their engagement last month will tie the knot in St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. The statement read, " His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms Meghan Markle will marry on 19th May 2018... at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle."

Queen Elizabeth’s grandson, fifth-in-line to the throne, Prince Harry has chosen the location due to its special relevance in his life. His 91-year-old grandmother is reported to take part in the festivities. The bride-to-be Markle will be baptised before the ceremony in presence of royals.

The actress will retain her US citizenship while gaining British citizenship. Meghan will reportedly attend the Christmas with Queen Elizabeth and other members of Britain's royal family at the Sandringham royal estate.

Post marriage the royal couple will shift to the official residence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Nottingham Cottage in the grounds of London's Kensington Palace where the Prince proposed Markle with a ring designed by himself.
