Pakistan on Thursday provoked India once again with a controversial statement on the conflict-ridden Kashmir. Pakistan said that rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in Valley is against the United Nations resolutions on Kashmir.
“The rehabilitation of Pandits in Kashmir is against the UN resolution as it alters the state's demography,” Pakistan Foreign Office Spokeswoman, Tasnim Aslam said.
She further said that, “it is clear that there can’t be any demographic change, there can’t be any step that would alter makeup of J&K.”
Meanwhile, India has responded back to Tasnim Aslam’s remarks saying that Pandits are an integral part of Jammu and Kashmir. “Pandits, Muslims, Sikhs are all an integral part of demography of Jammu and Kashmir,” Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley said.
