Youth Finds Easiest Way To Counterfeit Rs 2000 Note, Know How[/caption]
One of the reasons for demonetising the Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes was to reduce counterfeiting for high currency, but somehow fake notes never truly die out in any economy, or at least not attempts at faking currency notes.

A youth working as an engineer in a steel company was arrested in Odisha on charges of attempting to circulate counterfeit notes of the newly released Rs 2,000 currency. Most strikingly, the currency he attempted to circulate were actually colour photocopies of an original Rs 2,000 note.

The arrested youth attempted to use the fake bills at a petrol pump in Sunarimunda, but an employee suspected counterfeit and alerted the owner who reported the matter to the police.
