The government on Wednesday formed a new integrated institutional mechanism called the Defence Planning Committee (DPC) to reform the process of higher defence planning. This 11-year-old Jharkhand girl (Malti) carried her brother on her shoulder to get him admitted to a hospital. After being rejected in many medical clinics, she finally decided to take her brother to a hospital which was 8 kilometers away from her place. She got him treated. When asked why she did this, she said,”He is my brother and he was in pain. I had to do it.” Malti has no parents. Seeing her brother’s state, she couldn’t let him be and thus, took the effort to carry him. Isn't it a big question to the authorities and medical services available in our country?
