GST Inspires Surat Family, Parents Name Their Daughters After New Tax Regime

PM Narendra Modi's idea of 'One Nation, One Tax' has inspired many and one of them is a Surat based family which named their three newborns after the new tax regime, Goods & Services Tax (GST).

Tired of the needless delay, PM Modi finally turned this once dream into reality by successfully guiding it through the hurdles of Parliament. Utterly impressed by Modi's initiative, the family named their three daughters after the initials of GST.

The girls are named Garavi, Sanchi and Taravi. Kanchan Patel who is the mother of the three daughters upon questioning said, "PM Narendra Bhai Modi brought in GST – One Tax-One Nation, we were inspired by it & named our daughters after it."

The incident might come out to be the first instance of its kind but the tax regime has inspired families before as well. Just after the launch of GST, a Rajasthan based family has named their daughter after the regime.

Even a Gujarat based family named their daughter born at 12:02 am on July 1 named their daughter after GST. Apparently, the village in which the baby was born has a weird tradition of giving their children odd names.

A proud father in Chhattisgarh whose daughter was born on July 1 also named his daughter after GST. Seems like Narendra Modi has truly inspired many by bringing the tax reform in the country.
