After Facebook was flooded with pictures of a fully grown crocodile at Morjim beach, the forest department of Goa confirmed about the sighting on Thursday.
Few photos of a crocodile
strolling around Morjim beach in Goa went viral on social media. Facebook user Nilesh Bagkar, a resident of Morjim, posted four photos to a crocodile crawling freely along the Goa beach with some dogs around.
Morjim beach is commonly known as “Little Russia” as it is the popular one amongst Russians. Also, the beach is one of the most popular destination site in the state which is 30 km away from the capital city, Panaji.

According to reports, the Deputy conservator of forests D.N.F Carvalho said the crocodile must have come from the Chapora river and not from the sea (at Morjim) for sure. Few dogs were also visible on the photos, so the crococdile must have been trailed by the dogs and got caught, he added.
