Ahead of the new season of English Premier League, star Arsenal footballer Theo Walcott has unveils his tattoo of ‘Om Namah Shivaya’, one of the most popular Hindu mantras, taken the internet by surprise.

Theo, on Wednesday, posted a picture on his official Twitter account showing the vertical tattoo across his back reading 'Om Namah Shivaya'. He tweeted, “Open your heart, shed fear, hate or envy, to experience everlasting joy & happiness #NewTattoo”.

‘Om Namah Shivaya’  is a prominent Hindu Mantra sung by devotees or Yogis in prayers meditations. The mantra ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ actually means “I offer to Shiva a respectful invocation of His Name” and not merely “I respectfully invoke His Name”.

While the fate of the team, in the upcoming 2017-18 English Premier League, rests in their performance, the team has most certainly won the hearts of quite a few Indian fans with Theo’s tattoo.

The French footballer's tattoo has gone on the social media and watching a huge international star follow a Hindu mantra, the Twitteratis just couldn't stop themselves from praising the player.
