F1 Weekly Round Up: Testing Done, Onto Melbourne

Two weeks of Formula 1 testing of 2018 season are finally over. Even though atrocious weather conditions plagued the efforts of the teams to develop and test their cars in the first week, we finally saw their true colours in the second week.

Ferrari was the fastest again for a third year in the row with the help of their drivers Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen.

Red Bull showed how much they have come along in their development and are matching at pace with Ferrari and Mercedes in the long runs.

Mercedes, however, remained the favourites to beat as per the consensus of everybody in the paddock.

Toro-Rosso Honda has been a revelation in 2018, as the power unit Honda has worked without a hiccup and performing way better than expected.

McLaren sadly suffered a bad luck again as their car broke down numerous times and this time they don’t have a power unit to blame.

Force India have been underwhelming with their lap times and seem a shadow of their former self this season.
