E-commerce giant, Amazon has decided to give the users of its Alexa-powered range of devices an early Christmas gift by deciding to roll out a new feature which will let you set the music of your choice as an alarm to wake you up in the morning or for any other task.

The voice-activation will allow the user to operate them by saying, "Alexa, set an alarm for to <time> to <song> ". The user can also ask the device to wake you up "every day" to the same song at the same time. An option to choose the songs your preferred streaming service including Amazon's Prime Music or partner services like Spotify, TuneIn and Pandora will also be present.

The user can choose to play a specific song, artist, album, a radio station or even mood music to begin your happy day. The new feature will only be available on the Alexa-powered devices which include the Echo Dot, Echo Show, and Echo Plus. Only Fire TV will not support this feature for alarms.

The feature has not been rolled out in all regions and devices yet. As per a TechCrunch report, masses have been requesting the music alarms feature from Alexa device owners for a long time now, which prompted Amazon to bring the feature to its range of smart devices.

Amazon has been trying to promote its products like the Echo range of smart speakers among others by offering innovative features to enhance the user experience. By enabling the customized music alarms, the e-commerce giant has taken a step in the direction.

The company had recently announced the office-friendly Alexa allowing the businesses to buy the supported devices for helping the employees to dial into the conference calls, manage their calendars, find open meeting rooms along with other work supplies from Amazon to reduce their daily hassle.
