After Samsung's Note 8 substantially hit the sales of Apple's new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, now Google has launched their next generation smartphone 'Pixel 2' to rival the tech giant in the Market.

In this highly-anticipated competition between the two tech giants, the question is rising how do these phones do in comparison with one another.

The new Google phone is a step up for the Pixel series in every way. The new phone comes in couples - Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL just Apple's iPhone and plus series.

As per technical details, the Pixel 2 clearly outclasses the new iPhone with its superior battery, wider screen and greater RAM. The Google phone has 2700 mAh battery in Pixel 2 and 3520 mAh in Pixel 2 XL, which can power the phone for around 7 hours on a 15-minute charge.

It also features a 6 inches screen on its Pixel 2 XL and 5 inches on Pixel 2 and works with GB LPDDR4x RAM on both models.

This gives the Google smartphone a fair advantage over Apple's 4.7 and 5.5-inch display iPhone powered by Lithium-ion battery. The phone also has a 3 GB RAM to work with.

As for the camera, the Google smartphone features a 12.2 MP primary and 8 MP front camera as compared to iPhone's 12 MP primary and 7 MP front camera.

Among other things, the phones run on entirely different operating systems Pixel 2 running on latest Android 8.0.0 Oreo and Apple running on its iconic IOS. The smartphones have also taken a huge leap in the processors running on Snapdragon 835 and A11 Bionic respectively.

However, when it comes to memory, Apple has the upper hand with iPhone offering 256 GB of internal storage while the Pixel 2 is only limited to a cap of 128 GB.

The iPhone 8 was initially termed the best camera smarphone by tech experts, who later had to eat their words as Pixel 2 trounced that of both iPhone and Samsung.

Most importantly, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus cost around 64,000 and 73,000 as compared to Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL's starting price of Rs 61,000.
