Ravi Shastri has just been appointed as the head coach of the Indian Cricket Team and along with him, Zaheer Khan has been selected as the bowling coach.

Now according to reports that are coming in the media, it is being said that Shastri wants Bharat Arun as the bowling coach who was a part of the coaching staff when Shastri was the team director.

"Shastri has asked for just one thing. He doesn't mind Zaheer as a consultant. But Arun has more technical experience in ironing out flaws," a source told media on Thursday.

"No doubt Zaheer has a lot of knowledge. But he has no coaching experience. Everyone saw what happened with Anil Kumble. He can be groomed into a bowling coach," the source added.

"Is Zaheer willing to give 250 days a year to the team. He can come in and help Arun in that case," the source said.

Shastri says that he will require a full-time bowling coach by his side as he is the one who will be dealing with the team for the next two years and it is important that he has the people he wants on board.
