Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, the members of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) on Monday said that they have shortlisted Ravi Shastri, Virender Sehwag and Richard Pybus as the men who could be given the Indian teams top job.

Ganguly said that the coach that they select this time will be the man who will take care of India's 2019 World Cup campaign and they do not want to pick someone in a hurry. He also said that Virat Kohli will be consulted in the matter as he is the most important man of the Indian Team and his approval is of prime importance as he will be the one who will be leading in the 2019 World Cup.

Ganguly and Laxman both said that they understand that the Sri Lanka tour is quite long but it is more important for them to keep in mind the 2019 world cup and a victory over there is the goal.

They want to make sure that India does well at the 2019 World Cup which will be held in England and the coach can play an instrumental role in India's performance there.
