It is being said that Shastri and Sehwag are in the lead among the six contenders that have been shortlisted for the Indian team's coaching job.

The CAC had shortlisted Lalchand Rajput, Tom Moody, Richard Pybus and West Indian Phil Simmons also.

According to sources, it is now a "two-horse race" between Shastri and Sehwag.

Ravi Shastri has been the director of the Indian Cricket Team earlier and it would not be a surprise if he is selected as the coach as even Virat Kohli shares a good relationship with the former India Captain.

Shastri was very successful when he was the director of the Indian Cricket Team and but was not able to get the job of the Indian Coach earlier. However this time it seems he could be the man for the job.

Although Virender Sehwag is also in the race and it is being said that Kohli and Co. will not mind if Sehwag is selected as he also shares a good relationship with all the boys in the team as he has played with most of them and all of them respect him a lot.

At the end of it could come down to two factors the first one being who Kohli wants as the coach and the second one being who is more experienced so we will have to wait and see who eventually gets the coaching job.
