Indian captain Mithali Raj is the leading run scorer in the One Day format after she surpassed England player Charlotte Edwards’ record of 5992 ODI runs.

Mithali Raj has been India's mainstay in the batting department since the time she made her debut in 1999. She has done exceptionally well for India in both the One Day and the Test Format.

She has been in tremendous form throughout the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 in England. She achieved this record in the important game against Australia and created history after reaching the score of 34 which helped her in breaking Charlotte Edwards record.

Mithali broke another record when she became the first player in the women’s game to reach 6000 ODI runs when she launched legspinner Kristen Beams over long-on for a big six.

Most number of fifties-49.

7 consecutive fifties most by any player.

Only the third player in the history of the game to average over 50.

 164 innings is all that Mithali needed to achieve this feat. She has 48 not-outs to her name, which is the most in women’s cricket.
