Gylfi Sigurdsson's Wonder Goal Got Everton Fans On Their Knees [WATCH]

The whole world was left gawking when Everton spent 45 million pounds for Swansea midfielder, Gylfi Sigurdsson. Though, Gylfi's performance against Hajduk Split on August 24 shed light on the true reason for the pricey player.

Iceland midfielder pronounced his debut for Everton in the 1-1 draw match with a wonder strike. The astonishing goal had the fans on their knees and helped Everton achieve a 3-1 aggregate win.

The draw confirmed their place in the UEFA Europa League group stage. Everton was defending a 2-0 lead from the playoff first leg at Goodison Park. Though, just before the half time, Josip Radosevic brought the Croatian side back into the game.

After intercepting a pass, Sigurdsson sweetly connected with the loose ball throwing it 50 yards out from the goal. Even after losing footing, he was able to send the ball looping over the stunned Hajduk goalkeeper before dropped it into the back of the net.

Sigurdsson's unexpected goal in second half was not only able to impress the manager Ronald Koeman but also left the fans tipsy.

27-year-old, Sigurdsson signed a five-year contract with Everton. Team's another expensive player, Jordan Pickford also contributed to the draw by saving a 65th-minute penalty.
