England thrashed Panama 6-1 on Sunday in the Group G encounter at the FIFA World Cup. England secured a five-goal win and also registered a hat-trick in the name of captain Harry Kane.

Kane and John Stones both scored twice in the first half, the former converted a pair of penalties as England netted five before the break against their opponents.

The early goal by Kieran Trippier opened the floodgates for England. Kane emphatically converted a penalty to make it 2-0 following a foul on Lingard, who was next to find the net with a sublime curling finish with his right foot from the edge of the area.

Lingard in the 36th minute of the game converted Raheem Sterling’s assist into numbers and tipped the scoreboard with 3-0. John Stones scored the fourth goal for England in the 40th minute of the game.

While Kane was successfully netted yet another penalty strike in the goal post at the stoppage time of the first half and raising the score to five goals is to nil (5-0).

Substitute Felipe Baloy created history with Panama's first goal in the final minutes of the game but it was pretty late to control the damage as they score was already 6-1 after the 62nd minute hat-trick goal by English Caption Harry Kane.

This was only the fifth time when a side had netted five goals before the half-time in a World Cup encounter, and this was the first since Germany did it against Brazil in the 2014 world cup semi-final. It was England's biggest win in a major tournament match.
