All Is NOT Well Between Kings XI Punjab Co-Owner Preity Zinta And Virender Sehwag

Kings XI Punjab has been playing well enough throughout the eleventh season of Indian Premier League to make it to the playoffs. However, the team's co-owner Preity Zinda isn't very happy with chief mentor Virender Sehwag's recent decisions.

In the last 5 matches played by the team, they have lost 3 and losing the latest one against Rajasthan Royals by failing to chase down 159 runs was last straw of Preity's patience, following which she exploded and her anger was directed to Sehwag.

The actress reportedly indulged in an ugly spat with the former Indian opener and questioned his tactics. While Sehwag tried to calm her down, the rumour mill suggests that the KXIP mentor contemplating ending his five-year association with the franchise.

"Against Rajasthan Royals, skipper Ravichandran Ashwin was sent in at No 3, ahead of more accomplished batsmen such as Karun Nair and Manoj Tiwari. The move backfired as Ashwin fell for a duck, and Preity launched into Sehwag for the decision," a source was quoted as saying by Mumbai Mirror.

Throughout the altercation, Preity kept blaming the Sehwag of unnecessarily tinkering with the playing XI leading to so many losses. Sehwag has asked the other owners - Ness Wadia and Mohit Burman to keep Preity in check mentioning that she has interfered with the team's cricketing aspects earlier as well.

"Viru had told the other owners to rein in Preity. He told the owners that he’ll not comment on Preity’s acting chops and she should refrain from talking about his cricketing acumen," a source close to KXIP said. Burman has dismissed the reports of any problem between Preity and Shewag.
