Jio Database Hacked, Reliance Refutes Claims

Jio users could be in trouble as according to a website it is being reported that the database of the customers of Jio has been leaked. Reliance Jio consumer data has been posted online by a website named magicapk.com.  Although Reliance still insists that the data has of jio users is still safe.

Many people went on the social networking site Twitter to share the link to the website that allows anyone to access the data of the any Jio customer and is an invasion of their privacy.

According to a statement released by Reliance Jio spokesperson, “We have come across the unverified and unsubstantiated claims of the website and are investigating it. Prima facie the data appears to be unauthentic. We want to assure our subscribers that their data is safe and maintained with the highest security. Data is only shared with authorities as per their requirement. We have informed law enforcement agencies about the claims of the website and will follow through to ensure strict action is taken.

It is still not clear as to who is behind this leak of data but according to the IP Address, it seems as if the IP address is Mumbai-based and the domain was registered in sometime around May.
