While some cultures suggest that being exposed to an eclipse while pregnant is inadvisable, a mom in US's Georgia used the precious few minutes of the totality of the eclipse over the US to hold a once-in-a-lifetime maternity shoot.
Mother of two, Nichole Carver is expecting another baby in October and coincidently has a mother-in-law who is a professional photographer. As the solar eclipse crossed the nation, Carver had an idea for a solar eclipse maternity shoot, and the results are beautiful.
"We had 99.1 percent totality," Carver told FOX 5 Atlanta. "I pitched the idea to her and she ran with it and the photo is out of this world amazing!"
Lisa Cruikshank, Carver's mother-in-law wasn't prepared for the shoot so did not use any special solar filters for her camera lens, but the pictures have the internet on fire.
