Initiatives started in support of women's right at work including Time's Up and Me Too campaigns have reached the masses due to their representation at popular platforms. Taking the process a step forward, many renowned faces reached the red carpet of 71st British Academy Film Awards wearing black.

Following the Golden Globes blackout in January, celebrities showcased their support for the fight against sexual assault and harassment at BAFTA 2018. Disseminating the rightful message across, celebrated Awards night became a platform to unite against the social evils lurking in every nook and corner of the entertainment industry.

The social initiative beautifully represented at the red carpet shifted the environment a little yet never letting the vibrant buzz die. Many celebrated faces from British cinema and Hollywood marked their presence at Royal Albert Hall. Royal couple Kate Middleton and Prince William also graced the award show.

The Duchess of Cambridge, however, refrained from supporting any political agenda and reached the event clad in a green-coloured gown. Although, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence, Margot Robbie, Allison Janney, Saoirse Ronan, Octavia Spencer and Lupita Nyong'o showed up wearing black and stole the limelight.
