Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on Monday announced Rs 25 crore for Kashmir and Rs 10 crore for Jammu division to carry out the rescue operations.
Sayeed who was in Delhi rushed to Valley on Sunday in order to monitor the flood like situation. He visited the flood affected areas and assured people that compensation would be provided to them.
Meanwhile, Sayeed said that whatever happened in Budgam district due to landslides where 16 people are feared dead and atleast 10 trapped, very unfortunate.
"We are doing everything to save those trapped in Budgam due to landslide," Mufti said.
He also expressed his concern over the death of a youth in Udhampur who was washed away by flash floods.The state government has said that there was no need for Army assistance as of now to deal the latest flood like situation in the Valley.
