After facing large-scale criticism for his VIP treatment on his visit to a martyr’s family in Deoria, the UP Chief Minister has told all the officials in the state to hand out no ‘VIP’ treatment to him during his visits.

SP Goyal Principal Secretary to Chief Minister has told all the district officials that other than protocol, no special treatments be given to the Chief Minister during his visits to the districts. He further added that the CM asks suck actions not be repeated in the future.

Goyal said, “The CM is angry with the show-off by the district officials during his visits to the districts. Officials laid out the red carpet, put a towel of a particular colour and arranged a particular type of sofa during his visit to meet martyrs' families in Deoria and Gorakhpur.”
