The Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday caught the station house officer of the Saket Police Station red-handed for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs. 2 Lakh.
Neeraj Kumar, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Saket Police Station has been arrested in the Saket Court for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs. 2 Lakh from an advocate to settle a matter relating to Unitech Builders.
According to media reports, the Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested nine people in the matter including the founder of the real estate group Unitech Builder – Ramesh Chandra. Apart from Neeraj Kumar, advocate identified as Neeraj Wali has also been arrested by the investigation agency.

While speaking exclusively to News World India, a senior officer said, “The local police station was informed about the arrest at around 5 PM. A team had rushed to the spot. An investigation would be launched in the matter and the officer will be suspended till the time he is under the scanner.”
He further confirmed that the officer has been booked in the cases relating to the real estate firm Unitech.
According to a report in local media, it is alleged that the Saket court had referred 47 cases related to the Unitech Ltd to Saket police station for investigation. The officials told that it is alleged that the firm was making regular payments to the SHO to manage these cases.
