The presidential election voting that took place on Monday saw a massive turnout of 99 percent, but Telugu Desam MP JC Diwakar Reddy may be one of those who showed the most determination to vote.

Ground by domestic airlines after Reddy misbehaved with an airport staff member, he appealed to Hyderabad High Court for an interim stay order to allow him to fly to Delhi to vote in the election and to participate in the monsoon solution, however, the HC refused.

As a result, Diwakar Reddy took a chartered flight from Visakhapatnam to New Delhi to cast his vote.

Most airlines had banned Reddy from flying after he created a ruckus at the Visakhapatnam airport on June 15. He allegedly misbehaved with airline staff and attempted to smash an office printer when Indigo Airlines stopped him from boarding a flight after he was late. CCTV footage captured the entire incident.

Following the incident, he made attempts to book tickets with other flights but was unsuccessful.

Calling the ban illegal, Reddy then filed a petition in Hyderabad High Court, which responded by issuing a notice for their response by July 21.
