After Tanmay Bhat faced huge backlash on Twitter and Facebook over posting an insulting picture of the Prime Minister on their social media holds, he reminded the people of PM Modi’s twitter post calling for more humour in public life.

Tanmay tweeted a screenshot of Prime Minister’s post from March in his defence for posting the derogatory images of Narendra Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had tweeted this post back on March 17, right after BJP’s stunning victory in the UP assembly election. Modi had tweeted, “We surely need more humour in public life."

Modi had tweeted this in response to a Twitter user’s comment on for his ‘tongue-in-cheek’ reply to a former cricketer Ravi Shastri on his post.

Earlier, AIB had come under fierce fire for posting an insulting picture of the Prime Minister on their social media handles. The Mumbai Police on Friday lodged an FIR aginst the comedy group AIB.
