Union Minister Smriti Irani questioned Congress President Rahul Gandhi's silence when Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath had spoken against the Uttar Pradesh and Bihar migrants working in the state.

Irani is on a day's visit to Congress President Rahul Gandhi's parliamentary constituency and was talking to media persons on way to Amethi, about 140 km from the state capital.

Soon after swearing in as Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Nath announced that the scheme for providing incentives of investment will be imposed only after 70% of youth from Madhya Pradesh get employment. “People from other states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh come here & local people don’t get jobs,” Nath had said while addressing the media after taking the oath.

She slammed Gandhi for visiting his parliamentary constituency Amethi more often and said  BJP forced Rahul Gandhi to visit Ameth this was because she had done a lot of work there.

Attacking Rahul for delaying his visit to Amethi by a few hours, she said, "His coming late in 'maidan-e-Jang' (battlefield) of Amethi is an indication that the person who cannot visit his constituency on time cannot give timely solutions (to problems).

Rahul had rescheduled his visit on Thursday night due to the ongoing Rafale discussion in the Parliament.

Gandhi, who was scheduled to address a programme in Amethi around 4.30 pm today, will now leave for Amethi after the Parliament session and reach Fursatganj in the evening.
