Know All About Sandeep Sharma, The Man Who Helped LeT Loot ATMs

The Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested a UP resident man, allegedly involved with the terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba.

The police said that the man was helping the Terrorist outfit loot ATMs in the state.

This man has been identified as Sandeep Sharma alias Adil. He is said to be the first non-local person to be a part of LeT group in Kashmir.

Sandeep first got in touch with the terrorist group LeT through Shakoor. He was a close associate of Bashir Lashkari. According to the Police, he was staying in the same house as Lashkari militants. The accused used Adil as an alias to work with the terrorist outfit in Kashmir. He helped the other terrorist militant loot ATMs and carry attacks on security forces.

The national news agency ANI, shared a notification early Monday saying, “UP resident Sandeep Sharma, a part of Lashkar module has been apprehended by J&K Police.”

IGP Munir Khan said, “Sandeep Sharma, son of Ram Sharma from UP was apprehended from Muzaffarnagar. Lashkar has become the hub of criminals. To the locals, he (Sandeep) used the name Adil. He lived with two identities.”

After apprehending Sandeep, IGP Munir Khan said, “that Lashkar was running criminal gangs involved in bank robberies and other criminal acts and has become a hub for anti-social elements.”

The IGP also added that they indulged in immoral activities.
