Sachin Tendulkar Donates Entire Salary As Rajya Sabha MP To Prime Minister’s Relief Fund

The legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is known for his kind heart and sincere approach towards sensitive topics. His term as a Rajya Sabha MP recently ended and instead of using his salary to take a foreign trip, master blaster has donated his entire income to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.

Sachin has drawn nearly Rs 90 lakh worth of salary and monthly allowances in the past six years and didn't hesitate to donate the entire amount. His thoughtful gesture was hailed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Acknowledging the step, PMO issued a letter thanking Tendulkar for his assistance.

The letter of acknowledgement read, "Prime Minister acknowledges this thoughtful gesture and conveys his gratitude. These contributions will be of immense help in providing assistance to the persons in distress."

Sachin Tendulkar and Bollywood actress Rekha, who also enjoyed the rights as Rajya Sabha were criticised for their poor attendance in the Upper House sessions but Master Blaster has notably utilised his MP Local Area Development fund efficiently.

As per the data released by Sachin Tendulkar's office, the former cricketer has sanctioned 185 projects across the country with Rs 7.4 crore out of his allocated Rs 30 crore being used for educational and related structural development, including building and renovation of classrooms.

Better known as the God of Indian cricket for his immense contribution to the field, Sachin has adopted two villages under the Sansad Gram Adarsh Gram Yojana Scheme, including Puttam Raju Kandriga in Andhra Pradesh and Donja in Maharashtra.

Remember the Ferrari Car he was gifted and "demanded the IMPORT DUTY BE WAVED BECAUSE HE was "God of Cricket" and later sold the Ferrari car to some one in Dubai . As a MP he utilised only 1/5 of the money allocated to MP. HE COULD HAVE SPENT TIME or MADE SURE THE poor infra structure school in and around Mumbai, so that the poor children could have benefited from upgrading the poor dirty ill funded schools could improve. HE HAD NO TIME TO CONSIDER THE PLIGHT OF THE POOR or even built or improved clinics or built toilets for the poor slum developer or improved the child clinic and immunization program.
