Ryan Doesn't Have Separate Toilets For Staff And Students, CBSE Tells SC

Accusing Ryan International of mismanagement and ignorance of board rules, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday told the Supreme Court that the school didn't have separate toilets for students and staff.

The CBSE, on Thursday, filed an affidavit to the top court in links with seven-year-old student Pradyuman's brutal murder in Gurugram situated Ryan International School.

The education board in its affidavit to the Supreme Court said that the school does not have enough CCTV cameras, some of which don't even work, and neither does it have separate toilets for staff and students.

In its affidavit, the CBSE said that there were also few electric panels uncovered in open, which could have posed a serious threat to the students.

Earlier, class 2 student Pradyuman was found murdered in the school washroom with his throat slit.

According to the police, school bus conductor had killed the boy when he went to the toilet. He allegedly tried to sexually assault him but when the kid tried to raise an alarm he killed him with the knife in his pocket.

After large-scale protest and the incident gaining national interest, the Haryana government handed over the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The agency has already started their probe from the beginning.
