As the two superstars of Tamil movies, Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan attend the 75th anniversary of DMK mouthpiece, Tamil Daily Murasoli, the celebrities once again fuelled the speculations of them joining politics.
On Thursday, Kamal Haasan, who has recently taken on the AIADMK government over corruption, shared the stage with DMK leader M.K. Stalin on the 75th-anniversary celebration of DMK mouthpiece while Rajnikanth sat among the audience of the event.
Kamal Haasan has been critical of the AIADMK government over alleged corruption. Several ministers of AIADMK have also attacked the celebrity. He had also asked his fans on social media to lodge graft complaints.
On the other hand, Rajnikanth has also been rumoured to join politics in the state.
Apart from Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan, former cricket board chief and India Cements Chairman N Srinivasan and popular yesteryear actor Prabhu, son of late thespian Sivaji Ganesan also attended the anniversary celebration.
The DMK party also released a souvenir commemorating Murasoli's milestone. The function was also attended by the editors and journalists of various dailies, magazines and cine stars.
