Rahul Heckled, Car Pelted With Stones During His Visit To Flood-Hit Gujarat

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi was on Friday showed black-flag by crowds shouting slogans in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the flood-hit Dhanera town in Gujarat's Banaskantha district, forcing him to leave the scene. His car was pelted with stones, shattering the windows.

Rahul was on a day-long visit to flood-affected regions of Gujarat. Soon after visiting the flood-affected areas of Rajasthan and meeting the people from Manotra village he flew to Dhanera to meet the farmers and traders there.

Soon after, the Congress vice president reached the Lal Chowk in Dhanera where the crowds showed him black flags and shouted slogans for PM Modi, as a mark of protest.

The Congress leader was to supposed address a public rally in Lal Chowk but it had to be cancelled after he was heckled. Police resorted to lathi-charge to disperse the crowd.

Even as his car moved on, people pelted water pouches at his cavalcade. He later proceeded on a visit to flood-hit villages of Banaskantha district. As he was going to Dhanera helipad, his car was pelted with stones and some window panes were shattered.
