Police On High Alert Ahead Of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's Rape Case Verdict

Around 7,000 police officers have been plotted in the villages of Haryana and Chandigarh as well as Panchkula court, in anticipation of a potential fallout from the court's verdict on spiritual leader Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's case aka 'Guru of Bling', who was accused of raping two women followers nearly 15 years ago, slated for Friday.

The 50-years-old spiritual leader has a staggering fan following in the region, which is expected to bustle out if the court convicts the 'Guru' of rape. The police has initiated vigilance plotting its forces into the high stake areas.

The police has also set up two control rooms in the area in order to better control the verdict's fallout. While cars and trucks have been banned from the roads near the court on Thursday and Friday, a cricket stadium in Chandigarh is being prepped as a temporary jail to lodge the protesters and law-breakers.

He is also under a CBI investigation, ordered by court, on whether he forced 400 of his followers to go through castration at his Haryana ashram to experience god. When asked about the charges, he denied the allegations.

The case, which is expected to conclude on Friday was filed back in 2002 accusing the spiritual leader of sexually exploiting two of him women followers at his sect headquarters in Haryana's Sirsa.

According to critics, the trial on the MSG star were delayed five years due to his vast political influence based on his gigantic following.

The spiritual leader also featured in movies 'MSG: The Messenger Of God' and 'MSG 2' in which he rides a motorcycle and beats villains. His following in the area is so vast, that when his movies hit the screen, halls overbooked and millions of his followers poured onto the roads jamming the streets for several hours.

While he has been told to appear in the court, sources say he might just make a video-con appearance.
