As the country celebrates the national festival that fortifies the relation of brother and sister, the Prime Minister is not one to miss out of the celebrations of this symbolic festival.

While the widows of widows of Vrindavan are set to visit the Prime Minister on Monday to tie rakhis on his hand, a woman from Pakistan is also preparing to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Narendra Modi claimed that the Prime Minister called her.

The women, Qumar Mohsin Shaikh told a news agency, "I have been tying 'rakhi' to Narendra bhai for the last 22-23 years, excited to do it this time too."

She also said, "When I first tied 'rakhi' to Narendra bhai, he was a karyakarta (RSS worker) but with his sheer hard work and vision he has become the PM."

"This time, I thought PM Modi must be busy but two days back he called up, I was very happy to know that; started preparing for 'Raksha Bandhan'," she added.

Shaikh said that she had moved to India from Pakistan after she was married and has been living here ever since. She told that she first tied 'rakhi' to Prime Minister when he was an RSS worker.

Also, media in-charge of Sulabh International, an NGO taking care of the widows in Vrindavan, Madan Jha said, "Tomorrow, on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, 5 widows from Vrindavan will visit the prime minister's residence in Delhi and tie rakhi to him."
