PM Modi Blessed In Hometown, Says Honesty Will Always Win

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi receives a warm welcome on his first visit to his hometown Vadnagar in Gujarat since assuming office in 2014, he expressed his graciousness thanking people and pledging to work even harder.

PM Modi, on the second day of his two-day visit to Gujarat, said, "Coming back to one's hometown and receiving such a warm welcome is special. I go back with your blessings and assure you that I will work even harder for the nation."

Addressing a public meeting in his hometown, the Prime Minister said, "Whatever I am today is due to values I have learnt on this soil, among you all in Vadnagar."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his second day flagged the Antyodaya Express between Surat's Udhna and Bihar's Jaynagar, laid the foundation stone of barrage over Narmada River and inaugurate Rs. 400-crore six-story multi-speciality hospital.

The Prime Minister said, "Antyodaya Express is a commendable initiative by Railways, will make it easier for people from UP & Bihar to go home for Chhath Puja."

Citing the fact that Neem coating of urea helped farmers and stopped corruption as well as theft, the PM said, "We decided that 100% neem coating of urea has to be done so that it can only be used in farming & not in chemical factories."

Cracking down on the opposition, he also said that honesty will always win no matter how many dacoits come to rob the country.

The Prime Minister also launched the "Intensified Mission Indradhanush" to accelerate progress towards the goal of full immunization coverage.

"I am happy that I have got to inaugurate projects relating to the health sector, particularly Intensified Mission Indradhanush. Work is constantly being done to make healthcare affordable for the poor," Modi said.

He said, "I look forward to visiting Vadnagar. This visit will bring back several memories from my childhood."

Ahead of the Prime Minister's visit, the city was decorated with flags and buntings. The PM also interacted with the GMERS medical college students by visiting their classrooms.

The Prime Minister also offered prayers at the Hatkeshwar Mahadev and went to visit his school leaving behind his security. Before entering the ground, he also knelt and touched his forehead.

Before assuming the office as Prime Minister, Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat for nearly 13 years. Time and time again, he has been proven effective for the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Prime Minister's this visit also comes in line with the upcoming assembly elections in the state. In his two-day visit, he made a number of launches, inaugurations and laid stones. He also boasted about his government's achievement's in the several public addresses he made in the state.
