Patna High Court rejected Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav's petition which challenged Bihar government's order to vacate his bungalow on Monday.

The court had earlier said that the government quarter on 1, Polo Road, which was allotted to the petitioner was in accordance with the status of his leader of Opposition post.

Tejashwi did not vacate his residence since he had to step down as the deputy CM in July 2017 following the installation of NDA government in the state and had been fighting a legal battle, despite a government order to vacate the premise.

The bungalow was allotted to Tejashwi when he was the Deputy CM of Bihar. However, Tejwashi, the younger son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, who is presently the leader of opposition in Bihar Assembly had to quit his post after CM Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal (United) walked out of the alliance with Congress and the RJD, to join hands with the BJP.
