The Monsoon Session of Parliament began on Monday with both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha becoming adjourned in obituary references. The second day is expected to be stormy, as both sides ready to discuss important issues such as mob lynching, cow vigilantes, farmers' distress, communal violence, the Doklam standoff with China and the situation with Pakistan.

According to reports, while the Opposition parties prepare to raise issues related to violence by cow vigilante groups and failure of the government to control the menace, the BJP will likely raise the issue of communal violence that took place in West Bengal. Having recently completed 3 years in power, the union government will likely highlight some of their achievements over the years.
