The Nitish Kumar-led JD(U) is joining the BJP-led NDA. A resolution was passed on Saturday in the National Executive Meeting of JD-U in this regard.

The resolution paves way for the JD-U leaders to join the Union ministry.

Earlier on Saturday, Nitish Kumar began the national executive meeting in Patna amid protest by supporters of rebel leader Sharad Yadav and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) outside CM's residence.

The party once again denied rift in the party and sought 'on the record' statement by rebel leader Shard Yadav over his disagreement with the party.

Meanwhile, Former JD-U chief Sharad Yadav is also holding a parallel meeting, indicating a vertical split in the JD(U).
