Modi Government Celebrates 4 Years With #SaafNiyatSahiVikas

The Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies are celebrating four years of the formation of Modi Government on Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took oath to office on 26 May 2014.

Celebrating the occasion he tweeted, “On this day in 2014, we began our journey of working towards India’s transformation. Over the last four years, development has become a vibrant mass movement, with every citizen feeling involved in India's growth trajectory. 125 crore Indians are taking India to great heights!”

The Government is celebrating this day with the theme #SaafNiyatSahiVikas which translates to Clear intentions, good development.

“For us, it is always India First. With the best intent and complete integrity, we have taken futuristic and people-friendly decisions that are laying the foundations of a New India.” PM Modi said.

BJP leaders, Members of Parliament and ministers are sharing videos and infographics of their report card for the last four years with the hashtag #SaafNiyatSahiVikas on social media.

The opposition, on the other hand, has struck back and will commemorate this day as “Vishwasghat Diwas” or betrayal day. Congress party is expected to hold press conferences and demonstrations in all the states as per a statement from party General Secretary Ashok Gehlot.

The party has accused Modi Government of failing the mandate of the people and engaging in nothing but talks in the last four years.
