'Mini Taj Mahal' Creator Dies In Road Accident In Uttar Pradesh

Faizul Hasan Qadri, who hit the headlines for the recreation of love symbol-Taj Mahal in the memory of his wife (Taj Mulli Bibi) in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh, has been killed in a road accident, media reported on Sunday. 

Qadri was 83-year-old retired postmaster who sustained serious injuries in the accident on Thursday in Kesar Kalan and was admitted to a hospital, where he died on Friday. 

Qadri had begun constructing his mini Taj Mahal in 2012. Qadri was set to purchase marble from Jaipur to complete the mini Taj Mahal but destiny intervened.

When the news about the construction of Mini Taj Mahal spread in the UP, the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav summoned Qadri to Lucknow and offered him funds to complete the structure that Qadri declined.

Qadri asked the Samajwadi Party (SP) leader to establish a girls inter-college in his village instead.

The school is running successfully in which Qadri had also donated some land.

The Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in 1631 in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
