The Congress party on Thursday called BJP President Amit Shah its 'Star Campaigner'. This comes days after Shah on his campaign stated that Karnataka is a major producer of silk in the country.

Karnataka Congress posted a tweet that reads, "Thank you, Amit Shah, for speaking the truth yet again. You are turning out to be our Star Campaigner! Karnataka's Silk production hit an all-time high in 2016-17. Major cocoon markets have been modernised & integrated with the e-Mandi platform."

Along with the tweet the Karnataka unit of Congress posted a video of Amit Shah making the statement.

The party, in its following tweet, said, "Four Cold Storages exclusively for sericulture farmers have been established at Tumkuru, Channapatna, Hassan & Mandya. In the last five years, cocoon yield has increased by 14 kg/acre. Our initiatives have benefitted 1.38 lakh farmers and reelers."

On the other hand, Amit Shah accused Congress President Rahul Gandhi of lying about SC/ST Act. Shah even posted a video as a proof on his tweeter account.

Ahead of the state elections the war between Congress and BJP has been intensified. Leaders from both the side can be seen making comments and mocking on one another.
