JNU sedition case: Delhi Court asks Police 'You don't have approval from legal department, why did you file chargesheet without approval?' Delhi Police says will get sanction approval in 10 days— ANI (@ANI) January 19, 2019
While hearing the matter the court questioned Delhi police that “You don't have approval from the legal department, why did you file charge sheet without approval?"
The Delhi Police replied that it will get approval from the government in 10 days.
A few days back, speaking at a press conference in Delhi, former JNU ABVP unit vice-president Jatin Goraiya and former joint-secretary Pradeep Narwal said that students present in a video shown by a news channel allegedly raising the slogan of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ were actually ABVP members or sympathisers.
Later, Goraiya said that he can identify the ABVP members who chanted Pakistan Zindabad slogans and were ready to debate with a media channel, which had claimed that Kanhaiya Kumar and his friends chanted the anti-India slogans.
Both Goraiya and Narwal said that the ABVP had staged the controversy with anti-India slogans in order to take the attention away from the adverse media coverage on the death of Dalit research scholar Rohith Vemula in Hyderabad.
