After an RSS activist was allegedly murdered by some CPI-M workers in Kerala fuelling controversy, BJP leader and Union Minister of Finance Arun Jaitley visited the family of the deceased on Sunday and termed the killing as 'most brutal'.

The Union Minister, after meeting the distraught family of deceased 34-year-old RSS activist E. Rajesh, said, "Even an enemy country wouldn't do this kind of brutality but a political party did this."

Visiting the family of RSS activist a week after his death, BJP leader also said, "Rajesh had 89 wounds on his body. We will not forget this heinous act. I am here to express my solidarity on behalf of our party. The workers of Kerala are not alone, the whole nation is with you."

Union Minister Arun Jaitley landed in Kerala Sunday morning, where he was felicitated by the state party leader. He then drove to Rajesh's home and met his wife, two children along with other family members.

He also addressed a commemorative meeting after his meeting with the family saying that there was a saga of political violence in Kerala. "Governments are elected to do good for the people," the BJP leader said adding "but in Kerala, the ruling party is perpetrating violence on the people. This type of ideology won't crush our ideology. We have faced such violence through generations."

However, the CPI-M organised a sit-in protest in front of Raj Bhavan, the residence of Kerala Governor P. Sathasivam, demanding the BJP leader also visit the families of its activists allegedly killed by BJP and RSS workers.

CPI-M District Secretary of Thiruvananthapuram, Anavoor Nagappan, told the media that 21 family members of CPI-M activists, who were allegedly killed by RSS workers were among the protesters outside the Raj Bhavan on Sunday.

Nagappan said, "Jaitley should not just restrict his visit to just the RSS worker's home. All these people who are sitting here have lost their near and dear ones to BJP and RSS workers."
