The corporate giant is working with the Indian railways in order to hike the speed of one of its trains, Gatiman Express, up to 600 kmph. In case the train does successfully reach this speed, maintaining it in commercial use, it will become the fastest train in the world.

The NITI Aayog has already given the ambitious project its green signal sanctioning Rs18,000 crore to increase the train speeds.

The project is to further push the speed of the high-speed train Gatiman Express in the Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Kolkata corridors, busiest routes in Indian rail network.

The Gatimaan Express is a high-speed train that goes up to a top speed of 200 kmph. However, when compared to the high-speed trains around the world, 200 kmph seems measly number.
