If He Tries To Come Back I May Still Consider, Says Hasin Jahan After Filing FIR Against Husband Mohd Shami

Hasin Jahan, wife of Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami slammed the cricketer in a statement to ANI on Sunday. She said that Shami making up all sorts of things to save himself from the allegations.

Hasin said "He is making up all sorts of things to save himself from allegations. Why didn't the media investigate even after I gave them all details? Till the day I took to social media, I tried to convince him to save our marriage."

She added, "If he tries to come back I may still consider."

Hasin further said, "I tried to convince him that he should accept his mistake, I have been trying for very long. He would've run away to UP by now if I did not catch hold of that mobile phone, he would've divorced me till now if I did not have the mobile phone."

Previously, Hasin lodged an FIR against Shami and four of his family members in Kolkata's Jadavpur police station under several Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections, including section 498A, which amounts to cruelty to a woman by her husband or his relatives.

Indian pacer Mohammed Shami was accused of infidelity and domestic abuse by his wife Hasin Jahan. The player has been charged under the IPC sections for attempted murder, rape, assault and criminal intimidation on Hasin Jahan's complaint.

Along with Shami, his mother Anjuman Ara Begum, sister Sabina Anjum, brother Mohd Hasib Ahmed and his wife Shama Parveen were also booked for inflicting physical and mental torture on Hasin Jahan and will soon receive a notice under Section 41A of CrPC.

Following the controversy, the BCCI excluded Shami’s name from the central player contracts. Shami has played 30 Tests, including the three-match series against South Africa in January. He has also represented India in 50 ODIs and 7 T20 games. He is part of the Delhi Daredevils squad in the Indian Premier League.
