Despite only 10 days left for both the phases of Gujarat elections to complete, the ruling BJP party has yet to release any election manifesto. Congress, which released its own manifesto for Gujarat last week, lashed out at the BJP over the lack of manifesto.

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi slammed the BJP, accusing the party of showing 'unbelievable disrespect' towards the people of Gujarat.

In a tweet, Rahul Gandhi said, "The BJP has shown unbelievable disrespect towards the people of Gujarat. Campaign is over and STILL no mention of a manifesto for the people, no vision and no ideas presented for Gujarat’s future."

During a rally in Gujarat earlier this week, Rahul described the Congress' manifesto as having the 'voice of the people' of Gujarat.

"Congress' manifesto has the voice of people of Gujarat. We did it after taking views from all the sections of the society. The BJP didn't do this and that is why Prime Minister Modi could speak about Congress and me in his speech," said Rahul.

"Once the Congress comes into power, it will tell the Minimum Selling Price (MSP) to the farmers in advance; every year the salaries of the employees will be increased, within ten days a policy will be made to waive off the loan of farmers," he added.

The Gujarat elections are set to take place in two phases taking place on December 9 and December 14.
