As the 'BJP-wave' continues to flow through the nation, the Opposition parties are more focused than ever to unite against the growing NDA, to the extent of even forming alliances with their former foes in order to build a stronger Opposition.

On Sunday, a BSP-linked Twitter verified account describing itself as "not an official BSP account but initiated by BSP ideology supporter" shared a poster which depicted Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati with multiple Opposition leaders pictured below her.

Among the leaders, was also pictured Mayawati's arch rival and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. Other leaders were RJD's chief Lalu Prasad Yadav with son Tejashwi Yadav, Janata Dal (United) leader Sharad Yadav, West Bengal Chief Minister and All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) president Mamata Banerjee and Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

The poster calls for unity amongst the Opposition for social justice.

The tweet along with the poster was later deleted by the BSP account. Meanwhile, BSP representatives stated that they have no connections with the concerned Twitter account nor with the poster.

Mayawati, after receiving a crushing defeat in the assembly elections, resigned from the Rajya Sabha during the Parliament's recent Monsoon Session alleging that she was not being given an adequate amount of time to speak in the Parliament.
